Radium Raloquick Infrared Radiation Source

Fast Medium Wave

Raloquick infrared emitters from Radium TECH combine maximum efficiency and reliability for heating or drying various materials. Their unique filament structure emits medium-wave IR radiation with short response times. Thanks to their compact design and customizable options, they offer a flexible solution for diverse manufacturing processes.

Technical Parameters

  • Power Density: Up to 100 W/cm², ideal for processes with high power requirements.

  • Wavelength: 1.3–1.8 µm (near NIR) for minimal energy loss and optimal penetration depth.
  • Geometry: Quartz tube with diameters of 11 or 13 mm and lengths up to 800 mm.
  • Connection Options: Cable, metal tab, R7s, and custom contacts for maximum flexibility.
  • Reflector Option: Optional reflector coating for targeted heat transfer and utilization of rearward radiation.

Treatment of a Polycarbonate Sample with Raloquick Emitters

The following diagram shows the possibility of heating polymers homogeneously with Raloquick emitters. The emitter is designed for this purpose close to the NIR range. However, in contrast to NIR radiation, the energy losses when radiating through the materials are kept low. Penetration depths as well as preferential heating of surfaces can be controlled via the wavelength.
