Energylabel | Radium TECH

An energy consumption labelling system (energylabel) is compulsory already for many products and in many parts of Europe.

In the past, according to directive 98/11/EG just 'mains voltage lamps for light generation in the household' had to show such a label, so from Sept. 2013 basically all lamps that are sold to comsumers (end users) have to carry the (new) label.

Lamps regarded

All Lamps and LED modules with luminous flux > 30lm
explicitely mentioned

incandescent lamps (also halogen lamps!)
fluorescent lamps
high pressure intensity discharge lamps
LED lamps and LED modules

Exceptions

Special lamps (UV/IR, Signalling, image capture / projection)
Battery operated lamps and modules

Effective from, transititon measures

Implementation (compulsory) from 01.09.2013 (for luminaires from 01.03.2014)

Lamps, which will be banned due to DIM1, DIM2 or TIM up to 2014 only need to comply with the 'old' energy label.

Lamps complying with the 'new' energy label before 1.9.13 also comply with the old regulation.
