XERADEX® - excimer lamps made by Radium ​​

XERADEX^® lamps are xenon excimer lamps which are setting new standards in surface activation thanks to their pulse mode, developed within our company.
Pulse mode produces around four times the radiated output compared with conventional vacuum ultraviolet lamps. - VUV radiation enables a series of molecular bonds to be broken and makes XERADEX^® lamps a frequently more cost-effective alternative to chemical processes, for example in the manufacture of semiconductors and OLEDs or in cleaning glass in the production of LCDs. XERADEX^® lamps are also leading the way in terms of efficiency.

Also insofar as efficiency is concerned the XERADEX^® lamps are trend-setting:
Almost 40% of the electrical energy consumed is emitted as useful 172 nm VUV radiation. XERADEX^® lamps from Radium are therefore among the most efficient on the market.

​​ Another outstanding product feature is that the high efficiency of XERADEX^® lamps enables irradiation systems to be designed without the need for additional cooling. Such compact irradiation systems make it easier to integrate VUV technology in existing installations.

Safety precautions:

XERADEX^® lamps produce extremely intense UV radiation that is heavily absorbed by oxygen.
A considerable amount of ozone is produced as a result. Adequate ventilation must therefore be provided during their operation. The lamps should be operated only in airtight enclosures. XERADEX^® lamps are operated at high voltage and may only be connected to original DBD control gear designed for this purpose.
