Dimming method

The Radium RLS-DO module will be supplied with the new 4DIM ECG.
With this special ECG, the following dimming methods might be applied for control:

 

AstroDIM

By application of this method dimming is possible without any external control. With AstroDIM, energy can be saved as well as a reduction of light pollution can be realised. This ECG executes a previously defined dimming profile, which needs to be programmed into it. Thereby, 2 independent dimming values might be used and activated.

 

StepDIM

This method should be employed when an additional special control line is available - apart from the power line. The dimming parameters may be adjusted individually. For starting and ending the dimming process an external actuator will be applied.

 

DALI

DALI is an international standard communication protocol for electronic control gear. This system is employed in street lighting for communication between the ECG(s) and tele-management. It enables a tailormade illumination and also the monitoring of the individual light points.

 

MainsDIM

By reduction of the mains voltage amplitude the luminaires can be dimmed.

 

 

Individually fittable

By defintion of number, orientation and inclination of boards you can decide about light distribution and total quantitiy of light.

 

Orientation of boards

In our standard module, there are 6 boards mounted, so that this results in an emission angle of 360°. By changing the orientation of the boards this angle can be changed / reduced. Thus, you have got the chance to choose an angle between 60° and 360°.

 

Number of boards

Basically, you have got free choice regarding the number of boards. Per ballast, up to 12 boards can be employed. But there's always the possibility for our engineers to use more than one ballast.

 

Number of modules

The RLS-DO modules can also be put in levels above one another into the luminaire(s), like for example, two modules one over the other. Then, max. 12 boards may be connected with one ballast.

 

Light distribution

If your luminaires are fixed to a house wall and its facade should not be illuminated, you can choose the asymmetric light distribution by employing only the boards to one side.

If the luminaires are standing seperately (free), then we recommend symmetric light distribution.
